Chaoda Modern Agriculture Group whose central company is located in Fuzhou, is one of the key agricultural enterprises of national level. To date, 36 exclusive investment production bases planting vegetables and fruits have been set up in 16 provinces. The total area covered is 200，000 mu. More than 20 kinds of fresh vegetables and fruits can be provided every year.

Pinggu Base was set up in October 2001. The total area was 3000 mu, of which there were 200 mu of sunlight greenhouses. In addition, the base was equipped with 2500m2  workrooms for processing, 600m2 cold storage and vacuum equipment for cooling in advance and keeping fresh. In the past two years the base has been developed into a key agricultural enterprise for producing, processing and marketing. In march 2003, it was awarded the Advanced Agricultural Enterprise of Pinggu District. The Base produces many kinds of vegetables. “Five Unity” is considered as the key of production management. The main products are broccoli, sugar snap pea, lettuce, mini watermelon, pumpkin, mini cucumber, yellow heart cabbage, carrot, multi-colored sweet pepper, mini tomato and so on. More than 5000 tons of marketable vegetables are produced every year to satisfied the demands for green food.
