Reform on the Agricultural and Rural Economic Structure

Agricultural and rural economic structure was readjusted to increase yield and income.
Sticking to the principle of "developing diversified operation while giving firm priority to grain production", the government has promoted the development of high-yield, high quality and high efficiency agriculture and township enterprises.

Township enterprises are encouraged to reform through different ways including the shareholding system, cooperative share system, merging, leasing, contracting, sale and business groups and to combine their development with commercialization of agricultural operation and the construction of small towns.

Besides, private economy which covers some township enterprises has become an important component of the rural economy.
